-L6-S Custom -- SOLD

This is my vintage Gibson 1973 L6-S Custom Guitar. Serial #18488.

This model is the first year the L6-S was in production, and they only made 181 of these guitars, so there can't be too many of these still around. It was the only year that it had the large rectangular block mother-of-pearl inlays as well. It has a beautiful golden maple body, with a maple neck and fretboard. The bigsby tremelo was added at some later time, and the tuning heads were replaced with older model Schaller tuning heads.

This guitar is used but is in excellent shape for its age. The is a bit of wear and buckle rash on the back as you can see in the pictures. A few dents in the fret board by the headstock and a chunk taken out of the fret board by the pick ups (as portrayed in the pictures). She is not in the best shape of her life but she still has some juice left in her.

The action is smooth and recognizable as that vintage Gibson feel. The body is an orange/yellow natural wood finish.
