Here is a bit of what Carvin has to say about this guitar: Link to Carvin website about AC375

The AC375 true acoustic guitar made it's debut in 1999, and proved immediately popular among guitarists that wanted the ability to play acoustically or amplified. It produces a remarkably full tone for it's relatively thin 2 1/2" acoustic body. Unplugged, it projects a clear, vibrant tone almost as loud as a large-bodied acoustic. Plugged in, it has the perfect balance of acoustic resonance and warmth to project a beautifully balanced tone, surpassing that of the most expensive large-bodied acoustics. The AC375 is loaded with features generally only found in boutique instruments, but because we sell direct to you, you don't have to pay a boutique price. And with hundreds of available options, you can build your AC375 acoustic/electric exactly the way you want it, and be the proud owner of a totally unique instrument that will last you a lifetime.

We start with hand-selected mahogany for the body sides, back of the body and neck. All of our neck and fingerboard woods undergo a long conditioning process in our de-humidification chambers to remove any stress in the wood and prevent future warping or twisting. The back is braced for additional strength, and the neck is set-in for improved sustain over bolt-on necks. The mahogany construction produces warm tones, perfect for an acoustic guitar. The AC375 is light and comfortable to play - it weighs just 4.75 pounds, and the body measures 14" wide, and is 2.5" thick, making it effortless to play for hours on end.

The AC375 features a standard 25.5" scale ebony fingerboard with white pearl dot inlays, a 12" radius and 21 medium-jumbo nickel frets. You can choose from a wide assortment of neck options, including rosewood, maple or birdseye maple fingerboards; dot, diamond or block inlays in mother-of-pearl or genuine abalone; and fingerboard radii of 10" or 14". Carvin also offers a number of fretwire options, including jumbo, low-wide and stainless steel. Carvin's "Rapid Play" low action neck assures effortless playability throughout the entire fingerboard, while the smooth neck heel allows easy access all the way up to the 21st fret. The fully-adjustable dual action truss rod allows you to set the action exactly the way you want it.
